Angela Terry

One Home was founded by Angela Terry MSc MEI, an environmental scientist with over 20 years’ experience in the renewables industry. Angela set up One Home to raise awareness of positive climate solutions and help UK households to adapt to a low cost, low carbon lifestyle. Angela was a pioneer of community energy in the UK as Development Director for Energy4All. She was also Head of Wood Fuel for the Forestry Commission, Policy Manager for RES, and a carbon scientist in New Zealand.

Angela Terry won Regen’s 2024 Net Zero Energy Pioneer Award. Giving the award, John Prime called Angela “a truly inspirational woman at the forefront of the renewables sector” who had “caused a thousand flowers to bloom in the clean energy sector” through her work as an environmental scientist, her many media appearances advocating for clean energy, and her organisation One Home Climate Solutions which provides independent advice on adapting to and preventing global warming.

“Knowing that the solutions to climate change exist, yet watching greenhouse gas emissions increase every year is frustrating but it also inspired me to set up One Home to raise awareness of the choices and power we have as individuals. We also need to urgently increase resilience in our communities due to the climate emergency hence our continual focus to work with the media to accelerate climate action.”
